Gollum’s Pool (also known as Tawhai Falls) is an iconic waterfall in Tongariro National Park. It is a part of the set in Lord of the Rings as the forbidden pool in which Frodo and Faramir capture Gollum.
Possibly the ultimate form of wall décor, this stunning canvas is made and printed by the best canvas specialist we could find, and makes a masterpiece of Dena’s image.
Special effects turned this area of natural rugged beauty into a forbidding place, where even entering carried the punishment of death.
It is one of a number of Lord of the Rings film sites in the Tongariro National Park, which also includes Mount Ruapehu, which is an active volcano, and Mount Ngauruhoe, which was transformed into Mount Doom for the Movie Series.
Available in 5 sizes, from a compact 18x12” that makes a great little gift to a superb 48x32” that will add a statement to any wall, and stop your friends and neighbors in their tracks!
The canvas comes with back hanging already included for convenient placement, and is produced with a mirroring print around the edges, so it looks great without framing, and is built solid enough not to need it.
What a superb house warming gift.
The production values of the print are second to none, and include:
.: Cotton and polyester canvas composite with a special proprietary coating
.: Frame made with 1.25” radial pine sourced from renewable forests for extra strength
.: Canvas is printed using latex inks that are non-hazardous, non-toxic, non-flammable
.: Optimised for the highest quality images using UL-certified Greenguard Gold inks
.: Soft rubber dots on bottom back corners for support
.: Back hanging fittings included
.: NB! Due to the production process of the canvases, please allow for slight size deviations with a tolerance +/- 1/8" (3.2mm)

We had been up to the top of the ski fields access road as part of a road test of a road test of a new Mazda CX9 for our 4x4actionadventure on line publication, and made the last minute decision to take advantage of the weather to try to capture the waterfall on the way down. We're pleased we did!

As with all our images this vivid photo is exactly as it came off the camera, it hasn't been edited or enhanced in any way, it absolutely reflects the essence of the place.
