These little Chickadee birds are very much part of New Zealand’s wildlife experience. They are cute, noisy, friendly and quite unafraid of human company in their environment.
In fact they tend to stay close at hand to take advantage of the bugs and insects we dislodge in our activities around the area.
This guy spent a couple of days with us beside Lake Ohau where we had been staying after a 4WD trek through North Otago, and where we had already captured “The Peak” and “Lake Reflections” the day before.
It was quite a weekend for both offroading and photography.
