Possibly the ultimate form of wall art, this matte canvas turns Dena's unique image of a New Zealand Poplar tree into a work of art.
It may not be a native to New Zealand, but the humble Poplar Tree has become the symbol of the changing of the seasons, in a country where most of the native trees are evergreen, and don't really change all year round.
Although most of them have been planted in areas where erosion threatens river banks, many of these plantations have grown into small forests that have developed their own character.
From the spreading green of the leaf buds in spring, through the irresistable shady pathways they create in summer, to the mysterious hallways of gold as autumn turns into winter, and finally the skeletal, leafless symbols of winter, they are the ones that signal the change in the weather.
This particular example stood out in a riverside grove, beside a hiking track up into the South Canterbury Highlands, and the impenetrable South Island Black Beech covered Southern alps foothills.
Available in 4 sizes, ranging from a compact 8x12", to a Jaw Dropping 32x48" that will stop your guests flat in their tracks!
