This stunning rocky peak just burst out of the fog and mist as our Jeep scrambled up a sketchy 4WD trail up the Hopkins Valley.
We were on another off road adventure in the famed Southern Alps that make up the spine of New Zealands South Island.
Situated in the McKenzie Country "dark sky country" this unnamed peak fully represents the Wild Country that is the hallmark of New Zealands backwoods!
It was a one in a million shot, taken out of the window of the Jeep, and is totally untouched. Right time, right place.
